The doctor told how she underwent the vaccine against COVID-19 during pregnancy
Obstetrician-gynecologist Olga Ryashentseva, who was vaccinated during pregnancy, told how she got vaccinated. Writes about this RT.
The woman received the first component of the Sputnik V vaccine on 19 July, and the second on 11 August. On September 24, a healthy son was born to her.
Ryashentseva noted that after the first vaccination, her temperature rose once. There were also slight muscle pains.
According to the doctor, the technology for creating a vaccine is known and safe, and the experience of using non-living vaccines for pregnant women is quite rich.
“By vaccinating a pregnant woman, we have two goals: to protect the mother and to protect the newborn,” Ryashentseva said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation reported that vaccination against coronavirus does not affect pregnancy and the fetus. The department stressed that the optimal period for vaccination of pregnant women is after 22 weeks.
