Narcologist Vasily Shurov named signs of serious health problems due to alcohol in the heat. He spoke about this in an interview with Sputnik radio.
According to him, if a person who has consumed alcoholic drinks has a heartache, convulsions, severe surges in pressure or impaired consciousness up to delirium tremens, then an ambulance should be called immediately.
Shurov also noted that drinking alcohol in the heat is dangerous, since alcohol first dilates blood vessels, and then sharply causes them to narrow. At the same time, the vessels are already suffering due to the high air temperature, the doctor explained. In addition, alcohol affects blood clotting and blood clots can appear in various organs, he added.
