Symptoms of a mild form of coronavirus include cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever up to 38 degrees, muscle aches, weakness, general malaise, Sapego listed. He also admitted mild dyspnea with physical activity.
The severe course of the coronavirus is indicated by completely different symptoms, the doctor compared. These signs include shortness of breath with minimal exertion or at rest; clouded consciousness, when a person thinks poorly and behaves strangely; weakness and body temperature above 39 degrees. The therapist explained that unvaccinated patients with pre-existing health problems are more likely to experience severe COVID-19.
“The elderly get sick more severely. Concomitant chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, obesity, and immune problems also contribute to a more severe course of the disease, ”Sapego said.
The doctor recalled that vaccination reduces the risk of developing a severe form of coronavirus. The first vaccination in a few weeks forms a fairly strong immunity to COVID-19.
