The developers talk about the return of Cyberpunk 2077 to PlayStation

The creators of Cyberpunk 2077 said that the game will return to the PlayStation only when Sony deems it appropriate. This is reported by the Polish edition of Stockwatch.

Representatives of the studio CD Projekt Red said that they are in constant contact with Sony and maintain friendly relations. However, the developers have no idea when their latest game will be available again on the PlayStation store. “The decision to return Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store is wholly owned by Sony and we don't know when that will happen,” said Karolina Gnaś, Investor Relations Director at CD Projekt Red.

According to Gnas, in order to reappear in the PS Store, the title must meet specific technical criteria. The studio noted that Sony did not tell them about plans to return Cyberpunk 2077 to its store, but company representatives said that the recently released patch for the game is “a step in the right direction.”

The financial publication said that investors are concerned that the flagship title CD Projekt Red is not present on the PlayStation online store. At the opening of the Warsaw Stock Exchange on April 15, one share of the Polish company was valued at 186 zlotys (about 3.7 thousand rubles). At the time of the release of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red securities were worth 443 zlotys (8.8 thousand rubles).

A major update for CD Projekt Red arrived at the end of March. It became known at the end of 2020 that Sony would withdraw Cyberpunk 2077 from its store due to the low quality of the game.
