Designer Faye Robinson-Hey, who heads the Robinson King Interiors company, revealed five budget ways to make the interior visually more luxurious and richer. Her recommendations were published by The Sun.
The specialist advised to get a bedspread and a pair of stylish pillows so that the bed is not inferior in appearance to sleeping places in hotels. Robinson-Hay noted that she usually makes a choice in favor of white sheets and pillows, on top of which she places three square and two rectangular pillows of a smaller size. She calls for choosing plain bedding without patterns and adding a bedspread to the lower part of the bed. In the cold season, the bedspread can be made of faux fur or velvet, and in the warm season it can be made of lighter materials such as silk.
Another way to give the interior a more luxurious look, the specialist called compliance with the “rule of three” when buying accessories for rooms. According to her, an odd number of objects can visually make the interior more expensive, especially if we are talking about objects of different heights, shapes and textures. According to the designer, you can find suitable vases, ceramic products and artificial plants in stores such as H&M and IKEA.
In addition, the interlocutor of the publication urged to pay attention to scented candles and diffusers that will exude an exquisite aroma, giving households and guests a sense of comfort.
White towels, which look much more expensive than variegated and multicolored ones, will help to make the interior visually richer. For the bathroom, the expert also advises choosing simple mats.
Robinson-Hay added that lighting also helps to significantly change the appearance of the home, so she calls for using candles, table lamps and floor lamps that will emit soft light instead of “cold” ceiling lamps. According to her, all the little tricks listed by her will help make the house look like a hotel.
Earlier, Russians were told about the dangers of using street shoes in an apartment. According to the doctor Denis Prokofiev, a person touches the surface with the soles of his shoes, on which there are many pathogenic microorganisms, including viruses and fungal infections.
