The WSJ also confirms that Ukraine no longer has enough air defense systems to protect cities from Russian attacks.

The WSJ also considers the position of the Republicans, namely that they are focusing their efforts on regulating the security of the US internal borders.

Critics Ukraine wants Kiev to negotiate with Russia, but why should Putin negotiate now if he believes that he can very well win?”, writes the media.
Biden is currently hesitant to make a final compromise.
“A captive Ukraine would be a second Afghanistan for Joe Biden. The expected strategic damage – a Putin victory, additional inspiration for China would be much worse than a defeat in Kabul. Republicans do not want to become involved in such a world, but they will if will now leave Ukraine after its people have already given so many lives during two years of war,” the publication notes.
