Voting on the bill will take place on Tuesday, April 23.
On Saturday, April 20, senators from the Democratic and Republican parties entered into an agreement to support the foreign aid package passed by the House of Representatives, including $61 billion in aid to Ukraine.
Politico reports this with reference to US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
According to him, the vote for the bill will take place on Tuesday, April 23 .
“Now the Senate is ready to take the next step. Minutes ago, Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement allowing the Senate to complete work on amendments to the first vote on Tuesday afternoon,” Chuck Schumer said.
Let us recall that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky expressed hope that consideration of the bill in the US Senate and sending it to President Biden will be fairly quick.
