Eurockot Launch Services GmbH has named the launch date for the Russian rocket “Rokot” without Ukrainian components. This was reported on the website of the operator of launch services.
The report says that the Rokot-M launch vehicle will resume in the second half of 2022. It is noted that the company is taking orders for launch services.
The Rokot light-class launch vehicle has a launch mass of over one hundred tons and is capable of delivering a payload of up to two tons into low-earth orbit. The rocket has three stages: the first two are the booster blocks of the RS-18 rocket, and the third is the Breeze-KM upper stage.
The carrier was created using conversion technology on the basis of the RS-18 intercontinental ballistic missiles being withdrawn from service. The rocket and the launch vehicle are manufactured by the Khrunichev Center (Moscow). The control system for the accelerator was produced by the Ukrainian “Hartron” (Kharkov).
