Huawei smartphones maintain maximum performance for at least three years. This was during the presentation of the flagships Mate 40, the recording of which is available on YouTube, said the top manager of the company Richard Yu (Richard Yu).
Yu said that the greatest preservation of the performance of smartphone components is a consequence of the introduction of the new generation Kirin 9000 chips. In this case, the lifespan and obsolescence of devices increase. A top Huawei manager noted that the Kirin 9000-based Mate 40 series smartphones will maintain performance for at least three years. According to experts, after 36 months of operation, the decrease in the power of devices will be only 2.5 percent.
Richard Yu noticed that the performance of the previously released Huawei Mate 20 decreased by 5 percent in 18 months of operation. The Kirin 9000 processor, presented along with the new smartphones, is created using a five-nanometer process technology, has 15.3 billion transistors, a triple-core NPU coprocessor for neural networks and a Balong modem for working with 5G.
Huawei unveiled the Mate 40 line of smartphones at an event on October 23. The flagship devices of the series – Mate 40 Pro and 40 Pro + – received a 6.7-inch OLED display with a picture display frequency of 90 hertz, up to 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory, cameras for three and four lenses. The cost of the gadgets starts from 900 euros.
