Moscow. 5th of August. INTERFAX.RU – The Russian nuclear submarine “Eagle” on July 30 for a short time lost its speed near the Danish island of Seiero, in the Kattegat Strait, which separates Sweden and the Danish peninsula of Jutland. This was reported by The Barents Observer, as well as the 3rd Squadron of the Danish Navy, which followed the Russian ships.

According to Danish sailors, the Russian nuclear submarine, which was on the surface, began to be demolished towards the island when it was 1.5 km from the island. A ship of the Danish Navy offered its help, but the Russian military refused it. The Russian tug “Altai” approached the submarine, but in the end, the crew of the “Eagle” was able to independently solve the problem and resume movement.

The Danes were negotiating by radio with the crew of the large anti-submarine ship “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” located near Seiero, which was one flotilla with “Altai” and “Eagle”.

Danish sailors linked the appearance of Russian ships in the Kattegat Strait with their participation in the naval parade, which took place in St. Petersburg on July 25.
