Radio Sputnik interviewed Vasily Shurov, a narcologist, who told the Russians what alcohol consumption is fraught with in the heat.
The specialist told how you can suspect harm caused by alcohol in hot weather. So, according to Shurov, if a drunk person begins to notice pain in the heart, convulsions, pressure surges or impaired consciousness, it is required to call an ambulance as soon as possible.
“ Alcohol works like a swing, that is, at first it dilates blood vessels, and then sharply spasms, and people have ischemia. Plus alcohol disrupts blood clotting, and blood clots can occur in various organs, ”the doctor warned.
Shurov also noted that mortality from alcohol in the hot season tends to rise.
