The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic warned compatriots about a possible restriction or suspension of flights from Ukraine, writes RIA Novosti with reference to the diplomatic department.
The Czech Republic recommended that its citizens who have plans to leave Ukraine immediately leave the country. “The Czech Foreign Ministry calls on those citizens of the republic who plan to leave Ukraine by air to do so immediately due to the possible restriction or suspension of airline services,” the diplomats stressed.
Earlier, Czech President Milos Zeman said that Prague is against sending NATO troops to Ukraine. The head of the Czech Republic added that he considers the situation in the east of Europe a verbal confrontation, and expressed the hope that it will not turn into a military plane. Zeman added that Russia “has not gone crazy” and the Kremlin cannot but understand that an attack on Ukraine will seriously harm the country's economy.
In recent weeks, there have been statements in Kiev and in the West about the threat of a Russian attack on Ukraine. Moscow emphasizes that it has no aggressive intentions.
