The missile cruiser Moskva fired the newest Vulcan anti-ship cruise missile in the Black Sea for the first time.
It happened last week, writes RIA Novosti. The cruiser went out to the Black Sea to perform combat training exercises. The tasks included testing the use of the main missile system “Basalt”.
The missiles were fired at a naval target shield, which imitated a simulated enemy ship. The Vulcan successfully hit the target at a distance of 30 kilometers.
The rocket is equipped with a turbojet engine, it is due to which it gains altitude. This can be seen in the video. It is also noticeable how the Vulcan's delta wing unfolds almost immediately after exiting the launcher.
The shooting was reported to have been valid. As a result, the flagship is included in the permanent readiness forces, and is ready to perform the assigned tasks.
