The court upheld the decision to fine Facebook 6 million rubles

The Tagansky Court of Moscow recognized the decision to fine the social network Facebook 6 million rubles for refusing to remove prohibited content.

“By the decisions of the Tagansky court, the ruling of the magistrate was left unchanged, which … imposed administrative fines in the amount of 6 million rubles in two cases,” the press service of the court reported to RIA Novosti.

As the website kp.ru wrote, at the end of September 2021, the Facebook management asked the Tagansky District Court of Moscow to postpone the payment of a fine in the amount of 26 million rubles due to technical problems.

Recall that at the end of May 2021, the magistrate of the Tagansky district of the capital fined Facebook under eight protocols for not removing prohibited content, the total amount of the fine was 26 million rubles. In total, the court considered eight protocols: two of them were fined four million each, six others – in the amount of three million.
