The court left the chief engineer of Listvyazhnoy Lobanov and the head of the holding Alekseev in the pre-trial detention center
The Kemerovo Regional Court left Anatoly Lobanov, the chief engineer of the Listvyazhnaya mine, and Gennady Alekseev, the general director of the SDS-Ugol holding, in the pre-trial detention center. RIA Novosti was informed about this in court.
“Lobanov was left unchanged, Alekseev — unchanged,” said the agency's interlocutor.
Alekseev, Lobanov, as well as the technical director of the company Anton Yakutov were arrested until January 25. Depending on the role of each, they were charged with violating the industrial safety requirements of hazardous production facilities, which inadvertently resulted in the death of two or more persons, and abuse of authority in a commercial organization with grave consequences.
Earlier it was reported that the owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, Mikhail Fedyaev, was also left in a pre-trial detention center until February 14. Fedyaev is also charged with a violation of safety requirements, which inadvertently entailed the death of two or more persons, and abuse of authority, which entailed grave consequences.
A methane explosion in the Listvyazhnaya mine in the town of Belovo, Kemerovo Region, took place on the morning of November 25. As a result, 51 people died, including five mine rescuers who went in search of miners. 106 people were injured. One of the rescuers, Alexander Zakovryashin, who was considered dead, managed to leave the mine – he went to the rescuers himself the day after the emergency.
