Google was fined 6.5 million rubles for not removing prohibited content. The decision was made by the magistrate of the Tagansky district of Moscow.

Two cases were initiated against the Internet giant for violation of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. In the first of them, for not removing prohibited materials, Google was fined 2.5 million rubles. Under another protocol, for repeated failure to remove, the company received a fine of 4 million rubles. This was told by the press secretary of the Tagansky court of the capital Zulfiya Gurinchuk.

There is also another case in court against Google for the same violation. Its consideration will take place on October 8, 2021. The meeting was postponed so that a representative of the company could get acquainted with the case materials, RIA Novosti writes.

As the website kp.ru previously wrote, Google was fined 32.5 million rubles in 2021, but paid only 3.5 million. This was reported in Roskomnadzor.
