The court fined Google 6.5 million rubles
The Google company was fined 6.5 million rubles, according to RIA Novosti.
The decision was made by the magistrate of the Tagansky district. Under one of the protocols, the company was found guilty of not removing prohibited content. The fine was 2.5 million rubles. Under the second protocol, for the same violation, but committed again, Google was fined 4 million rubles.
Consideration under another similar protocol is scheduled for November 8.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor demanded that Google remove restrictions on RT DE and DFP channels. The department said that if the company refuses, it faces a fine of up to one million rubles. The requirements must be met as soon as possible.
