On Wednesday, September 1, the court imposed a fine on Facebook in the amount of five thousand rubles for failure to provide information. This was reported in court.
According to TASS, the court reported that the company was found guilty of “committing an administrative offense under Article 19.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation,” and Facebook was sentenced to an administrative fine of five thousand rubles.
Recall that at the end of July, the court fined Facebook six million rubles for refusing to remove prohibited content. Shortly before that, the company had been fined four counts for refusing to remove prohibited information. The fine for the owners of the social network was 17 million rubles. The company tried to challenge this decision, but the higher authority found it legal.
