The Istanbul court arrested the Turkish citizen Alp Mutlu, who beat the Russian woman for two days. The man is accused of torture. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the lawyer of the victim.
“Mutlu has been arrested. He is accused by the prosecutor's office of causing suffering and torture. That is, it is not just beating. The beating lasted two days, so the prosecutor's office equated him with torture. To understand what kind of article he will be tried, you need to wait for the indictment, it will also indicate what punishment he will be demanded. But I can say that this is a crime of almost the same gravity as murder, which does not even have a statute of limitations, ”he said.
It is noted that the Russian woman arrived in the country after she met a man on social networks. According to preliminary data, the couple settled in a hotel in the Atasehir area, but after a while they had disagreements, and Mutlu began to beat the woman.
Two days later, when the man went to the store, the Russian woman managed to get asylum from the hotel administrator. The hotel staff called the police. Law enforcement officers recorded the beatings and took the victim to the hospital.
The Turkish citizen is due to appear in court within the next few weeks.
