The cost of a single trip in public transport in Moscow on the “United” ticket will increase by one ruble – from 60 to 61 rubles. The price of a ticket for two trips will change by two rubles – up to 122 rubles. The changes will take effect on Sunday, January 2nd.

The cost of a single trip in ground transport, metro, MCC, MCD (Central zone) with the Troika card (Wallet ticket) will be adjusted by four rubles. The price of subscriptions for 30 and 90 days will also change: the cost of one trip on them will change on average by a little more than one ruble. From July, such subscriptions can be activated not immediately, but within ten days after purchase.

The fare for Face Pay (46 rubles), a ticket for 365 days (19,500 rubles) and a 3-month pass for the metro, MCC, MCD and ground transport (1,245 and 810 rubles) for students, schoolchildren, residents and graduate students will remain the same.

Owners of the personalized Troika will now be able to transfer free of charge on one ground transport route within 90 minutes from the first payment. More than five thousand people are expected to use this feature every day. Previously, free transfers were only available on different routes.

Earlier, in December, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin praised the popularity of public transport during the pandemic. According to him, the number of Muscovites using buses, metro, MCC and other types of transport has dropped to about 60 percent, that is, to the 2010 level. He explained that this is due to the fear of citizens of contracting the coronavirus.
