The consequences of depriving Russian athletes of the flag for the football team are named

Sports lawyer Artem Patsev named the consequences of the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in relation to Russia for the football team. This is reported by “Championship.com”.

According to him, the Russian national team will play under its own flag at the European Championship, which is to be held in the summer of 2021. At the same time, Patsev noted that if the national team reaches the final of the 2022 World Cup, the players will have to play there under a neutral flag. The lawyer added that the CAS decision was expected.
