A group of scientists and doctors from several countries announced the creation of the latest artificial intelligence (AI) system. She is able to predict the race of a patient based only on an X-ray.
The accuracy of the definition has been confirmed as a result based on numerous checks, according to an article published on arXiv.org. At the same time, as part of testing, specialists distorted the images to such an extent that the human eye was unable to distinguish between anatomical features.
The most interesting thing in all this is that the scientists themselves have not been able to figure out how AI was able to predict the human race so accurately on the basis of such low-quality, almost “junk” data.
Note that the day before, information appeared on the network that requirements for the development of a medical decision support system based on artificial intelligence will soon be formed in Russia. It is understood that thanks to the new standard, the first Russian algorithm for the analysis of medical data will also be created.
