The composition of the Commission for Scientific and Technological Development of Russia was approved

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving a list of 47 members of the Commission for Scientific and Technological Development. The corresponding document was published on June 7 on the official portal of legal information.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, became the head of the commission. The new body also includes the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Technological Development Dmitry Peskov, as well as the governors of many regions and the heads of the ministries of the Russian Federation.

Work on the creation of this commission began in March. It is assumed that the new body will regulate the development of government programs, innovation projects and principles related to scientific and technological development. Also, the commission will help in planning the state budget for research and development.
