The cost of the new generation Sony set-top box in Ukraine turned out to be cheaper than in Russia and other European countries. Writes about this ITC.ua.
In the Ukrainian market, the official cost of the consoles will be 12,999 and 15,999 hryvnia (about 35 and 43 thousand rubles) for the version with a floppy drive and the digital model, respectively. In terms of other currencies – about 390 and 480 euros – it is cheaper than in Russia and Europe. So, in the European market PS5 will cost 399 and 499 euros, in Russia different models of the new generation set-top box are estimated at 37,999 and 46,999 rubles.
Some of the most affordable PlayStation 5 games have also been found on the Ukrainian market. For example, Demon's Souls, Destruction AllStars and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition are priced at 2299 hryvnia (about 6.1 thousand rubles), or about 70 euros according to the current exchange rate. In Europe, these titles are priced at 80 euros respectively. At the same time, games in Russia turned out to be even cheaper – 5.5 thousand rubles.
The cost of the Sony console was revealed at an online event on September 16. Also during the presentation, the company announced games that will be released synchronously with the console or in 2021. PlayStation 5 sales in Russia will begin on November 19.
