The Central Bank (CB) proposes to limit the share of consumer loans for loaned borrowers from the third quarter of 2022. This was reported by the Bank of Russia, reports TASS /.
The Central Bank proposed in the third quarter of next year to set macroprudential limits for consumer loans for Russians with a debt load of more than 80 percent of income or for a period of more than 5 years at the rate of 25 percent of new loans for the quarter. At the same time, for microloans, it is proposed to introduce a limit of 35 percent of new issues.
At the same time, the Central Bank emphasizes that the establishment of such limits will contribute to tightening lending standards, but this will not have a significant impact on the availability of loans and borrowings for Russians.
At the end of November, it was reported that Kalmykia and Tuva became the leading regions in terms of the level of debt load of the population in 2021. The ratio of per capita bank debt to annual wages in Kalmykia is 100.1 percent (a year earlier it was 86.9 percent). In Tuva, this figure was 87.4 percent. The least indebted were residents of Ingushetia (11.3 percent), Chechnya (22.6 percent) and Dagestan (22.8 percent).
