The captain of the Russian youth hockey team Marat Khusnutdinov said that the team members followed all the rules at the youth world championship in Canada. This is reported by RBC.
“We complied with all the requirements, walked in masks, did not communicate with anyone outside the team, we passed PCR with confidence,” Khusnutdinov said. He noted that he did not observe in the hotel where the teams lived, strangers who had nothing to do with the championship, except for the TV people and the team.
The captain of the Russian team added that he was offended by the cancellation of the championship. “We prepared, carefully created a team. Words cannot express what emotions are now. It's just a shame, ”he said.

The Russian team was awarded a technical defeat with a score of 0: 1. The youth ice hockey world championship was to be held from December 26 to January 5 in Edmonton and Red Deer, Canada. It was planned that Russia will play in the group stage with the USA, Sweden, Slovakia and Switzerland.
