The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to prohibit individuals and legal entities with close ties to Russia from renting military property in Ukraine.
The corresponding bill was approved at today's government meeting.
According to the document, military units can lease movable and immovable property assigned to them to individuals and legal entities (if this does not harm combat readiness).
At the same time, they cannot be leaseholders of military equipment:
• individuals and legal entities of the state recognized in Ukraine as an aggressor country (i.e. Russia );
• legal entities, the ultimate beneficial owner of which is a resident of Russia.
– It is proposed to exclude from the list of possible tenants individuals and legal entities with close personal or economic ties with a state recognized by the Verkhovna Rada as an aggressor state, & # 8212; the explanatory note to the bill says.
The document has yet to be considered and supported by the Verkhovna Rada.
At today's meeting, the Cabinet also redistributed unused funds and allocated an additional 333 million UAH for the purchase of weapons and military equipment.
