The ability of the Central Bank of Russia to support the ruble with international financial transactions will be limited. This was stated in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany following the talks of the leaders of Western countries, in which the heads of the United States, France, Canada, Italy, Great Britain, Germany and the head of the European Commission took part, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the press service, the countries participating in the negotiations decided to further limit the possibilities of the Central Bank in this area. It is noted that the approved restrictive measures are directed against a number of individuals and organizations in Russia and other countries.
Also, the United States, Germany, Great Britain, Canada and the EU announced the rejection of “golden passports” for Russian citizens. “In particular, the opportunity for wealthy Russians to obtain the so-called golden passport and thus European citizenship for themselves and their family members should be eliminated,” the German Cabinet said in a statement.
