The Royal Marines of Great Britain experienced a hijacking of a ship by a jetpack disembarkation.
For the experiment, the Marines have teamed up with Gravity Industries. The patrol ship HMS Tamar also participated in the tests. The military was dropped onto the ship using a jetpack.
The latter is considered as an alternative to helicopters and airborne rope systems. The knapsack allows Marines to land in any part of the ship, as well as use weapons and even evacuate.
During the tests, a military man with a knapsack took off from the boat, and then landed on HMS Tamar.
Gravity Industries introduced the jetpack in 2017. It was tested by British rescue services last year. Also recently the knapsack was tested by the military of the Netherlands.
