The head of the British Ministry of Defense Grant Shapps canceled a planned visit to Odessa during his trip to Ukraine March 7. The reason was the threat of a Russian missile attack, which British intelligence warned about.

The media also point to a missile strike on Odessa the day before Shapps’s scheduled arrival. Then an explosion occurred several hundred meters from the motorcade of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, killing five people. On the same day, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Odessa.
