The British company will give Ukraine a batch of powerful sapper robots

The First Deputy Head of the Department of the Patrol Police of Ukraine noted that TALON is able not only to detect mines, but also to neutralize them. By the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Ukraine already had 12 such robots.

What is known about the sapper robot

Beloshitsky also wrote that the robot- the sapper is able to take a load weighing up to 45 kilograms and pull up to 680 kilograms of cargo.

“In the basic version, the length is 86.4 cm, height 42.7 cm, maximum weight – from 52 to 71 kg. The power plant allows reach speeds of up to 8.3 km/h and work without recharging from 2.8 to 4.5 hours, and in standby mode up to 7 days,” he said.

TALONs have been used around the world, from Ground Zero after the 2001 World Trade Center attack, to Iraq and Afghanistan, to search for a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing, and to assist with security during major sporting events.

In the military , law enforcement and first responders, TALON is widely used for:

  • improvised explosive devices and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD);
  • intelligence;
  • communications ;
  • chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear work;
  • defense and rescue missions.

What weapons has Ukraine received recently

  • At the end of May, self-propelled guns M109 arrived in Ukraine, they were transferred by Norway. Artillerymen noted that these howitzers were “created for people” and are significantly superior to Soviet ones.
  • Also in May, Ukraine received Harpoon anti-ship missiles, which made it possible to drive Russian ships away from the coast of Odessa.
  • From the United States, Ukraine received 108 M777 towed howitzers, as well as hundreds of thousands of ammunition for them.
  • France transferred Caesar wheeled self-propelled guns to Ukraine – 12 units.
  • The Czech Republic provided Ukraine with multiple launch rocket systems fire RM-70 (localized version of the Soviet BM-21 “Grad”) – 20 units. 122-mm self-propelled artillery mounts “Gvozdika” – 20 units. DANA and DANA M2 self-propelled guns of 152-mm calibers – several dozen units.
