In the Ternopil region, a mother with many children will appear before the court, having thrown out her newborn in a bag.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the first court sessions will be held in the near future. A 31-year-old woman is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 135 (Leaving a newborn child in danger) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For the committed unfortunate mother faces up to three years in prison or probation for the same time.
What the investigation knows
According to the case file, the incident took place on November 2. The woman gave birth to a child at home, wrapped the boy in a blanket, put him in a plastic bag and took him to the destroyed premises of the former dairy.
There the suspect left the baby and calmly returned home. It is not reported whether the child's father was an accomplice in a cynical crime.
Some time later, a 14-year-old girl passed by the former milk plant. She rescued a newborn boy, whom she heard crying in a dilapidated room.
The girl was not afraid to go inside and find a package with a baby among piles of stone and debris. After that, she took him to a local store, where doctors and police arrived.
The newborn boy was rescued: doctors confirmed that he was viable at the time of birth. Thus, the mother could purposefully plan the killing of the child.
