The bodies of two climbers who disappeared more than a week ago were found on Elbrus
Rescuers found the bodies of two climbers who disappeared more than a week ago after climbing Elbrus, according to the Elbrus high-mountain search and rescue team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in its official Instagram.
It is noted that the bodies of the missing girl and the guide were found. Rescuers of the North Caucasian regional and Elbrus high-mountain search and rescue teams of the EMERCOM of Russia were engaged in their search.
Recall that a group of two people disappeared after climbing Elbrus from the northern slope. On April 21, the tourist and the guide were supposed to reach the Azau glade. The last time they contacted was on April 17: then they reported that they were 200 meters from the summit, but because of bad weather they had to “bury themselves in the snow for the second night.”
