The blogger found out how important the processor frequency is – Intel Core i7-10700K was tested at 4, 4.5 and 5 GHz in games

Testing was conducted on a PC with a GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, 32GB of RAM (two 16GB modules), a 1TB SSD, and an 850W power supply. The processor is installed on the MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK motherboard.

The games are as follows, 1080p resolution:

• Hitman 3 – 133 FPS (4 GHz), 149 FPS (4.5 GHz), 161 FPS (5 GHz).
• Cyberpunk 2077 – 93 FPS (4 GHz), 94 FPS (4.5 GHz), 105 FPS (5 GHz).
• Shadow of the Tomb Raider – 148 FPS (4 GHz), 160 FPS (4.5 GHz), 165 FPS (5 GHz).
• Far Cry New Dawn – 146 FPS (4 GHz), 158 FPS (4.5 GHz), 169 FPS (5 GHz).
• Assassin's Creed Valhalla – 104 FPS (4 GHz), 105 FPS (4.5 GHz), 105 FPS (5 GHz).
• Metro Exodus – 187 FPS (4 GHz), 203 FPS (4.5 GHz), 214 FPS (5 GHz).
• Horizon Zero Dawn – 141 FPS (4 GHz), 142 FPS (4.5 GHz), 144 FPS (5 GHz).
• Red Dead Redemption 2 – 145 FPS (4 GHz), 156 FPS (4.5 GHz), 159 FPS (5 GHz).

The conclusion is obvious. Overclocking makes sense!
