The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, blessing the war in Ukraine, thereby blesses the murder of the flock, which he considers his own.
This was stated by the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on the air of the national telethon.
— Indeed, not only the priests of the OCU have already suffered a lot, we already have several dead of our military chaplains, but many churches and clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine have also suffered. Therefore, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), Kirill, blesses his flock for the murder, which he considers his flock in Ukraine, & # 8212; Epiphanius noted.
He said that the unity of Ukrainians is necessary for the victory of Ukraine.
– Therefore, now all Ukrainians must unite for the sake of our common victory. I am convinced that with our unity we will overcome the aggressor and together we will all continue together, after the victory, uniting, building our Ukrainian state, as well as our only local Orthodox Church, & # 8212; emphasized the primate of the OCU.
Metropolitan Epiphanius added that with the outbreak of war, in addition to supporting the church service, the priests of the OCU joined the ranks of volunteers: they collect humanitarian aid and deliver it to those in need.

The head of the OCU also mentioned the Easter fast, which could have been forgotten during the war. He stated that in these difficult times, the OCU is loosening the requirements for fasting for its believers.
– Where possible, we must fast. Where there is none, the church blesses and weakens, so that believers can stand firm in this difficult time and move together towards complete victory, — he said.
Earlier, Metropolitan Epiphanius said that during the war it is not a sin to wish death and kill Russian invaders.
