Anch Baranova, professor at the School of Systems Biology at George Mason University, believes that in the next two months, the incidence of coronavirus in Russia will depend on the weather. She explained that if it is dry and hot at the end of May and June, the number of COVID-19 infections will decrease, and if people have to gather indoors due to rain, then vice versa.
According to the professor, now “different strains of coronavirus are constantly found around the world, and many of them are as unpleasant as the Brazilian or British”, the Indian variety of the infection is also worried.
“These strains are already in Russia. They compete with each other, and it is not yet clear which of them will win in what locality. I think that in the next month or two in Russia everything will be determined by the weather, ”Ancha Baranova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
