So the version of the artificial origin of the coronavirus in an interview with “Lenta.ru” was described by Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor at the School of Systems Biology at George Mason University (Virginia, USA), virologist Ancha Baranova.
According to her, such experiments could be carried out, among other things, in order to invent a vaccine that can “overtake” the virus. “[To do this] you just need to evolve it in a test tube and see what happens. This is called a function acquisition experiment, ”said the virologist, noting that some experts believe such experiments are the reason for the emergence of COVID-19.
In addition, the specialist noted that vaccines against COVID-19 currently have no task to catch up with the mutations of the coronavirus. However, if you wish, you can make the vaccine go ahead.
