Juventus Turin and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo received the Globe Soccer Awards as the best footballer of the 21st century. This was reported on the Twitter award.
Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah, Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho and Barcelona captain Lionel Messi also competed for the nomination.
It is noted that during his career, Ronaldo won the Champions Cup five times, and also won the championships in Italy, Spain and England.
Previously Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola received the Globe Soccer Awards as the best coach of the 21st century. Apart from Guardiola, three more specialists could become the best coach of the XXI century. They are Frenchman Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid), Portuguese Jose Mourinho (Tottenham) and Alex Ferguson. The Scotsman has achieved the greatest success with Manchester United.
