The Russian Ministry of Defense claims to have repelled the attack.
The Russians said that on the night of May 29 they shot down a drone over the Belgorod region and shells from Grads.
This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The statement from the enemy department says that during the night an attempt by the “Kyiv regime” to launch an attack using an aircraft-type drone and MLRS BM-21 “Grad” on targets in Russia was thwarted.
“On-duty air defense systems destroyed one UAV and seven Grad MLRS rockets over the territory of the Belgorod region,” the Ministry of Defense assured.
Recall that on the same night Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed-131/136 drones. Air defense forces destroyed 13 out of 14 drones.
