The publication of the American magazine Popular Mechanics describes a possible scenario for the outbreak of the Third World War, which, as they are sure of the publication, will take place between the United States and its opponents, probably Russia or China.
“In the cold expanses of space, enemy space robots are slowly adjusting their orbits and preparing for a surprise attack on the US satellite fleet,” the publication says.
The publication notes that the purpose of the “killer” ships is to disable American satellites. “At the last minute, the [US Space Force] team will activate the nuclear rocket motors on the US satellites, quickly moving them into a higher orbit,” the magazine writes.
After the American satellites are no longer threatened, the nuclear rocket engines will turn on again and return the spacecraft to their original orbits.
The publication notes that the above may become a reality, as the Office of Advanced Research Projects of the US Department of Defense commissioned the companies General Atomics, Blue Origin and Lockheed Martin to build a demonstration model of a nuclear rocket engine Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations (DRACO), the launch of a spacecraft with which to low a near-earth orbit is slated for 2025.
In December 2020, in the publication of the “Military-Industrial Courier”, the condition for the detection of the use of the Russian cruise missile “Burevestnik” with a nuclear engine and a warhead with a capacity of two megatons (in TNT equivalent) was called “the sudden disappearance of one of the major megalopolises of the United States along with the entire population.”
