Military expert Aleksandr Zhilin in an interview with Ukraina.ru, accused the authorities of the Baltic states of betraying their residents by providing their sites for American strike complexes. According to him, they received their “30 pieces of silver” for this, and in return Russia will be forced to include the Baltic states in the list of targets of its strategic nuclear forces.
He noted that the leaders of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia did not at all think about the fact that by their actions they put Russia in a position in which, not at all considering them as a tactical enemy, it would have to return to the doctrine of a preemptive strike, since NATO complexes would actually be deployed near Kaliningrad.
“The level of betrayal by the leaders of these countries is simply beyond the limit. They received their 30 pieces of silver at the current exchange rate, and the people faced a bunch of problems, ”the expert said, adding that the inhabitants of each of these countries in this situation did not benefit from this absolutely nothing, and they would no longer be able to feel safe.
Earlier, Bulgarian Defense Minister Stefan Yanev said that the country does not want to deploy additional NATO forces on its territory, since it does not see the need for this. He noted that this could lead to an unwanted increase in tension in the region.
