President of Moldova Maia Sandu made a statement.
In Moldova on February 11 in the area of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, near the village of Etulia Vulcanesti region, border police discovered fragments of a Shahed type UAV.
Border guards reported this, writes Newsmaker.
As Moldovan border guards reported, the area where the wreckage of a combat drone was found was surrounded.
Law enforcement officials say there is no risk or danger to the public in the area, and authorities have taken all necessary measures to maintain public order.
“We suspect that the found debris is one of the drones shot down by a Ukrainian anti-aircraft gun,” noted the Border Police.
Also, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, said that this incident is another reminder that Russian aggression is a threat to the entire continent.
Recall that at the border of Ukraine eight evaders were detained who were trying to illegally enter the territory of Moldova.
