The appeals court left Kolomoisky in custody, but reduced his bail

At a meeting on November 16, the Kyiv Court of Appeal partially changed the preventive measure against businessman Igor Kolomoisky.

He will remain in custody until December 2, and the bail amount has been reduced from UAH 3 billion 891 million to UAH 3 billion 790 million, that is, by almost 100 million.

The lawyers asked to change the preventive measure to house arrest due to the deterioration of the client’s health.

On October 27, the court extended Igor Kolomoisky’s period of detention for another two months.

September 2 Kolomoisky was suspected of fraud based on materials from the SBU and the Bureau of Economic Security.

According to investigators, during 2013-2020, the businessman legalized more than half a billion hryvnia by withdrawing funds abroad using the PrivatBank infrastructure.

The Shevchenko court in Kyiv sent Kolomoisky into custody for two months with the possibility of bail in the amount of more than 500 million UAH. The businessman was required to surrender all his passports.

On September 7, NABU detectives reported Kolomoisky’s suspicion of misappropriating more than UAH 9.2 billion of PrivatBank funds. Kolomoisky's assets were seized for 48 hours.

Subsequently, Kolomoisky was informed of a new suspicion for the illegal seizure of UAH 5.8 billion during 2013-2014.
