Apparently, Google wants to introduce new privacy features for its users. At the very least, this should affect the upcoming updates to the Chrome browser, primarily on Android.
Judging by the latest changes in the Chromium project, Google wants to implement the ability to block access to incognito tabs using the password used on the lock screen. An alternative can be a fingerprint, writes 9to5Google.
Interestingly, the company has previously added a similar feature to Chrome for iOS. True, then it was about protecting tabs using Face ID.
Note that at the moment the new function has not received an official release. How soon it will become part of the stable version of Chrome for Android is unknown.
