On Tuesday, September 14, the Magistrate in Moscow fined Telegram messenger another nine million rubles for the company's refusal to remove content prohibited in the country. Thus, the total amount of fines exceeded 35 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Tagansky court.

“A penalty has been imposed in the form of administrative fines, in only two cases, in the amount of 9 million rubles,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the court's press service.

Protocols were drawn up on the messenger according to parts 2 and 4 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code “violation of the procedure for restricting access to information”. Under a similar article, Facebook and Twitter are involved, which today, on September 14, were fined 21 million and 5 million rubles, respectively. The total amount of fines imposed on Facebook in Russia exceeded 90 million rubles, Twitter was fined a total of more than 45 million rubles.
