- Trump's special representative Keith Kellogg may visit Belarus, according to media reports. There is no official confirmation yet.
- Journalist and blogger Roman Tsymbalyuk suggested what the United States wants from Lukashenko.
According to media reports, Trump's special representative Keith Kellogg is allegedly planning a visit to Belarus. There have already been suggestions that this will be a new attempt to organize a dialogue between Ukraine and Russia. However, we should not forget that the Americans have their own goals.
Journalist and blogger Roman Tsymbalyuk told Channel 24 about this. According to him, Kellogg's potential visit to Belarus will probably not bring any results in the context of the war in Ukraine. But there are other interesting goals there.
Why Kellogg might go to Belarus
As Tsymbalyuk noted, Belarus has been helping the Russian army for many years. At the same time, they have stopped providing their territory for attacks on Ukraine. Therefore, it is quite possible that Kellogg will want to “take the temperature” in Belarus in the context of the war in Ukraine.
It is worth remembering that Russian-Belarusian exercises are planned there in the near future, which will take place near the borders with the Baltic countries. Such a visit could be an attempt to explain to Lukashenko why it is not worth provoking NATO countries.
Some believe that Russia may test NATO during the exercises. They may send several drones there. They will say that “they are not ours.” Allegedly, “Orlan” or “Shahed” can be bought at any “military store” and so on. I assume that Kellogg can speak for this, – emphasized Tsymbalyuk.
Let us recall that Trump had previously given Putin “two weeks” several times to take clear steps to end the war. The Russian dictator did nothing. Trump did not take tough steps against Russia.
