The American water production system is out of order on the ISS
On the American segment of the International Space Station, the WPA water receiving system was turned off. She could have failed due to a leak, according to the NASA website.
According to the US space agency, the crew will have enough water for several months. The system is scheduled to be repaired early next week.
WPA obtains drinking water by processing condensation of atmospheric moisture and urine. The same installations are on the Russian segment.
Currently, in addition to the Russians Oleg Novitsky and Peter Dubrov, three Americans are working on the ISS, as well as French and Japanese astronauts.
In late April, the Russian Zvezda module was isolated on the ISS after an air leak was discovered.
