The American news agency Bloomberg mistakenly published a headline on the website about Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine and apologized for publishing false data, the information appeared on the publication’s website.
After a while, the title of the article was deleted. As announced in the editorial office, the article was published at 16:00 local time (midnight Moscow time). “We are preparing headlines for many scenarios, and the headline “Russia invades Ukraine” was published unintentionally,” the journalists admitted and added that they regret the mistake.
The circumstances of how a false and provocative publication could appear on the agency’s website are being investigated.
Kiev and Western states accuse Russia of preparing an attack on Ukraine since the fall of 2021. They assume that Russia is pulling troops to the border. The Kremlin has repeatedly said that the accusations from the West are groundless.
Moscow recalled that Russia is not going to invade any state. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia moves troops within its territory and at its discretion. According to him, no one should care. The Kremlin has warned of growing tensions due to the tightening of NATO forces in Europe.
