Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that Russia is not going to attack anyone. He stressed that the country needs good-neighborly relations with Ukraine. The Ambassador’s statement is given in the official Facebook account of the diplomatic mission.
The Russian ambassador denied the attack on Ukraine and assured of this “with full responsibility.” “We need good-neighborly relations with the fraternal Ukrainian people,” he stressed.
Antonov also called the accusations of the West against Russia blasphemy. According to him, they are directed against Moscow as part of the information war. Antonov called providing an alibi for the operations of the Ukrainian army against Donbass as the final goal of the West.
The West accuses Russia of preparing an attack on Ukraine since the fall of 2021. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied these statements. Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, stressed that there was no evidence of a “threat of invasion”. He also called incorrect assumptions that Russia is allegedly blackmailing the United States and NATO with aggression towards Ukraine.
