The temperature in Moscow broke the temperature record on the next day. On Thursday, June 24, the temperature in the capital reached 33.8 degrees, which is higher than the previous record for June 24, recorded 143 years ago. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand told about this.
“The record of this day (June 24 – ed.) 1948 has been exceeded. At VDNKh station, the temperature is 33.8 degrees. This means that the record value, which was for 143 years of observations, it was 33.5. Now the record of this day has been broken, ”RIA Novosti quotes the forecaster, who noted that at the moment only the fact of breaking the record has been recorded, the value of the maximum temperature will be known only by evening.
Recall that temperature records have been recorded in the capital for several days already, and a day earlier, on June 23, a record temperature for June was broken in Moscow – the thermometer rose to plus 37.4 degrees.
